My Story

I am no stranger to disordered eating, yo-yo dieting, and the soul-sucking pursuit of the "ideal" body. My experiences have led me to the work I do today.

Growing up, I was a very anxious kid...and a dancer...a combo that led me to develop a clinical eating disorder in my early teens. Although I received some treatment and was deemed clinically "recovered" by age 18, I continued to struggle with food and my body. During college, I transitioned from being a dancer to a fitness instructor. Ironically, my transition into a "health" related hobby didn't support my health very much.

Throughout college and grad school, I drowned in the toxic, physique- focused side of the fitness industry. I also swung between restrictive diets, detoxes, binging, and feeling out of control with food.

During this time, I felt alone and ashamed. People in my life assumed I'd been recovered from my eating disorder since high school. But I was stuck in an insidious, invisible, internal battle. On the outside, I had life "together" (doing well in school, lots of friends, supporting myself by teaching fun group fitness classes). On the inside, my body was breaking down, and my mind was totally preoccupied by the fear of what might happen if I stopped micromanaging my food intake and body shape.

One day, while I was writing a research paper for a psychology class, I stumbled upon the Intuitive Eating approach to nutrition. This marked a major turning point. The Intuitive Eating framework instantly made sense to me. From there, I was gradually led to the resources, tools, mentors
, and grace I needed to completely break free from food and body anxiety.

I let go of the pursuit of “control” over food and my body. I found ways to FEEL GOOD that are FLEXIBLE! I learned to implement habits that honor my body's unique, ever-changing needs. And I healed the deep wounds and self-esteem issues that were keeping me drawn to food and body obsession.

Today, I fuel my body in a way that allows me to experience the fun, beauty, fullness, and deliciousness of life...without getting lost in unnecessary "rules" or depriving myself. I have defined my personal wellness necessities, and I have helped over 100 clients do the same!

My Approach

I am committed to offering services that are truly holistic. When I am counseling, I utilize health science as well as your values, your innate wisdom, your unique experiences, and a spectrum of holistic modalities. While I consider myself a nutritionist "first" - I help clients explore their wellbeing from all angles. I pull from an extensive toolkit of certifications and trauma-informed techniques to facilitate a healing experience that is unique to each person I work with.

I have a strong background in nutrition science (I am a Registered-Dietitian Nutritionist, Master’s in Nutrition, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor). I also have a background in psychology (I received my undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology and multiple trainings in body image coaching). I am also certified in somatic modalities like yoga and breathwork. So I help clients create customized meal plans, heal digestive issues, and energize their bodies through nutrition while also going deep with body image healing and self-esteem.

My mission is to help you eat with ease, embrace your boy, and feel truly alive!

Some Fun Stuff

  • I am a genuinely extroverted person. I'm truly energized by connecting with people, which is one of the reasons I absolutely love my job. I am excited to get to know you!

  • I am a connoisseur of all things topped with truffles or truffle oil (truffle pizza, truffle pasta, truffle fries - I wanna try it all!)

  • While I no longer dance "formally," I'm a forever dancer - I love taking dance classes, dance fitness classes, and multiple daily kitchen dance breaks

  • Okay, so maybe this isn't "fun" – but I live with major food allergies (to nuts and peanuts) and Celiac Disease, which means I eat a nut-free/gluten-free diet. The "fun" part of this is that this doesn't feel super limiting to me. I STILL deeply enjoy food and have found a sense of ease navigating these intolerances. So I love to help clients who live with these challenges to do the same!

  • I still teach strength and conditioning classes part time. One of my greatest passions is reclaiming fitness from diet culture and promoting a healthy, balanced relationship with challenging exercise classes.

  • I am constantly traveling! I love exploring new places, and I'm always looking for creative ways to travel on a budget to fit in as many adventures as possible in a year.

Christina Constantinou

MA, RDN

I'm an Associate Dieititan at Full Soul Nutrition.

I take an integrative approach to nutrition counseling, using tools like mind-body awareness and self-compassion in combination with nutrition education.

I also take an individualized approach; I do not believe there is a "one size fits all" way to heal your relationship with food. I am passionate about educating and empowering people to heal their relationship with food because food touches every aspect of our lives (our health, our culture, our personal relationships, and more).

Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor

My Story

I grew up competitively dancing for 15 years, where I experienced a culture of disordered eating and the impact it had on many of my teammates. I was explicitly shamed for the way my body looked in a leotard, and I spent years comparing myself to others. I almost fell into the toxic diet culture of the industry, but I didn't. Unlike many of the girls I danced with, my relationship with food was fairly unique. Growing up in a Greek immigrant household, we celebrated and deeply enjoyed food. I ended up spending my last 3 years of high school living in Greece and immersed in the Mediterranean lifestyle. I am forever grateful that from a young age I experienced the many, positive roles food plays in a fulfilling life, how it can bring people together, and evoke joy.

It felt like such a privilege to grow up in a culture that celebrates life and emphasizes savoring food. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life and it is my true passion to help others do the same. I believe that food should make you feel good, eating should be fun, and learning how to nourish your body shouldn’t be stressful. I want to help you break free from disordered eating and fall in love with the way nourishing your body makes you feel; I have helped many clients do just that!

My Approach

I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences–Dietetics from Rutgers University. I went on to receive my Master’s degree in Health Communication shortly after.

Some Fun Stuff

  • I am based in Queens, New York. I actually moved into my childhood apartment, where I lived until I was 7, as an adult and had a real full circle moment!

  • I love to travel! I grew up going to Cyprus, where my parents are from, at least once a year, and have held this tradition through my adult life. I also love exploring new places/ countries and try to find ways to fit in new adventures each year.

  • I am bilingual! My first language was actually Greek, and my Greek heritage is a huge part of my life and who I am.

  • The kitchen is one of my happy places. I love to bake and cook, and experiment with new recipes

  • I am one of the clumsiest people I know. My family and friends love to joke about how it is a miracle that I was once able to dance in pointe shoes or ever hired as a waitress. I am constantly tripping over my own feet or knocking something over.

What they say...

Caitie's ability to hold space for people is unparalleled. I've never worked with another counselor who is so fully present, spot-on attuned to my needs, and just so authentic. I've learned so much about nutrition, health, and healing my metabolism -- I've also learned so much about myself, my dreams, and what I need to not only be recovered from my eating disorder but also HAPPY.
